Making a Movie

This is a movie Neil and I created. The tools I used were stop motion, lego, and a wooden person. We created this to share what I learned about we learned Different ways people used kauri trees. But instead of learning the uses of it Neil and I wanted to do something about the felling of the trees, So that's why we made this movie.
What I enjoyed about this project is that the movie was funny and Neil and I had fun doing it.
What I found challenging was every time the lego tree broke we had to put it back in the exact same
place and the tree fell over like a million times it was so annoying!
What would I do differently next time is to explore more technology and be extra creative in my work.

The straw race

Last week our class did an experiment on kauri dieback. After we did the experiment I got a better understanding of how kauri dieback works. About an hour later our teacher told us to write about it. So this is my writing.

Name:  Taylah  Topic: Kauri dieback disease   Date:21.9.18

Last week on Friday, we did an experiment on kauri dieback disease. The experiment was,  we had 4 different coloured straws with a different amount of holes team 4 had 0 holes, team 3 had 10 holes, team 2 had 30 holes and team 1 had 40 holes. We tried to drink it but the juice would come out of the holes so it was hard. At the end team 4 won and team 1 lost,  team 3 came 2nd and team 2 came 3rd.

How it helped me
The experiment helped me to understand the way the kauri dieback disease works. When the disease comes it stops the kauri tree from sucking up the nutrients it needs to grow, so the tree gets hungrier and hungrier but the disease stops it until the tree begins to die.
