Integrity is an important thing to know about because it is about being truthful and you must be truthful to others. Even if the truth is embarrassing. Integrity is doing the right thing if people are watching or not because God is always watching.
Integrity builds friendships through trust. Let them know that they can trust you, that you won't gossip behind their backs you can make lots of friends.
Being truthful and doing the right thing pleases God and nothing is better than his pleasure on you.
Integrity is a good thing to have. Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching but not everyone has integrity. For devotions, we are studying people in the bible that showed this trait. The three people I am studying are: Queen Esther and Daniel.Esther shows integrity
Esther was Jewish. When her parents died he cousin Mordecai adopted her. While Jews were in exile King Xerxes’ wife, Vashti insulted him the king wanted a new wife. Then Xerxes’ wanted a new wife. Esther was then forced to go to the king’s harem (A women’s part inside a Muslim palace.) Esther was admired by all that saw her even the King admired her that is why she became the new Queen. Haman was an evil man who didn’t like Mordecai because everyone but Mordecai and the king would bow down to him making him mad. Haman made a decree that all Jews shall be slaughtered and promised to by the Kingdom a lot of money. Mordecai asked Esther to beg for the life of her people, Esther was terrified because the king didn’t know she was a Jew. Esther showed integrity by begging the King - putting her life on the line - to protect her people. In the end, she saved her people and everyone lived in unison except Haman he got impaled.
Daniel shows integrity
Daniel was a man of God. Every night he would pray to the Lord, he had God’s favor and he was liked by the king. But there were two jealous men who tricked the king into making a horrible law. The order was whoever prays to anyone but the king shall be thrown into the lions’ den. Daniel showed integrity by praying to LORD even though the Lord was in place. He praised the Lord even though the law said not to. He would’ve felt so much pressure but even though he still prayed. The evil men used this against Daniel and told the king about Daniels’s prayer time. Even though the King didn’t want to throw Daniel in the lion’s den he had to - it was the law - Daniel in the lion’s den before Daniel was thrown in the King said “ May your God whom your serve faithfully rescue you” God then sent an angel to save him and the King threw the evil men into the lion’s den and the King worshiped the LORD and changed the law.
In conclusion, this essay is about 2 people of my choice that displayed the trait of integrity. Even though they were under immense pressure, in a life or death situation they showed integrity and did the right thing. They bring pleasure to themselves and most importantly pleasure to God.
